Why Pre-Injection Wipes Matter

When using Melanotan 2 tanning injections, hygiene isn’t optional—it’s essential. Clean practices start with mixing. Always wipe the sterile water vial and the top of the Melanotan 2 vial after removing the cap. Our pre-injection wipes contain 70% isopropyl alcohol to ensure surfaces stay sterile.

Next up is prepping your skin. Before injecting, use a fresh alcohol swab to clean the area. For best results, wipe in one direction only—this helps create a sterile surface. Then, let the alcohol air dry completely.

Why air dry? Because alcohol kills bacteria as it evaporates. It penetrates the cell walls and destroys bacteria during that drying phase. Wiping it dry too soon or using a cloth can undo all that and even reintroduce bacteria to the site.

Stay safe. Use one wipe per step, let the area dry naturally, and never skip this part of your routine—it makes a big difference in both safety and results.
