What to do—and what to avoid!

Here are a few key tips to help you keep both mixed and unmixed Melanotan at its best. Once mixed, Melanotan becomes a delicate peptide—shaking the vial to dissolve the powder may reduce its effectiveness. Always handle with care!
These quick do’s and don’ts are based on the most common questions we receive from customers. We’ve gathered them to help you make the most of your tanning journey. Hope you find them useful!

Mixing your Melanotan 2:

1. Always clean the top of your vial with a sterile wipe once the yellow cap is removed.
2. Never use tap water—only sterile water is safe as tap may carry bacteria.
3. Mix with at least 1ml (a full syringe) of sterile water—use 2ml if preparing for nasal spray.
4. Avoid squirting water directly onto the Melanotan 2—aim at the side of the vial and let it gently run down.
5. To dissolve, gently roll the vial between your fingers—never shake it, as this will damage the peptide.

Storing your Melanotan 2:

1. Once mixed, always keep your Melanotan in the fridge.
2. Never store your mixed tanning injection or nasal spray solution below 3°C.
3. If left out in warm conditions for over 12 hours, safely discard the solution.
4. Limit the time your Melanotan stays out of the fridge when drawing your dose.
5. Keep unmixed vials in a cool, dark place to maintain quality for up to 12 months.
